No Public King George 72-Hour Feed
Rappahannock Regional Jail is the adult regional jail serving King George County, Stafford County, Spotsylvania County, and Fredericksburg. Its official JailTracker public roster displays active custody. The reviewed RRJ navigation, inmate information, roster interface, and King George Sheriff channels disclosed no official 72-hour release feed. No separate 48-hour view was found either.
The missing feed matters. A three-day list would normally group completed release events by timestamp, but RRJ's interface suppresses released records from public search. There is no official window, field set, or published update cadence to read. A person may disappear from active display after community release, monitored placement, a transfer, or another custody change. Only the event record identifies which one occurred.
Check King George 72-Hour Releases
A useful three-day check starts by fixing the date range and the likely custodian. King George adults are generally held at RRJ in Stafford, so searching for a stand-alone county jail feed leads to the wrong place. Note the person's exact name, a lawful identifier, approximate booking date, case number, and each source's access time. Then test the possible paths without assuming that release from one system ended all custody.
- Search the RRJ roster for active custody on the day checked. Treat absence as an unresolved status, not as a listed release.
- Open Virginia Jail VINE, select the exact person, and read any RRJ custody event supplied during the three-day range.
- Review the King George court case for bond, dismissal, sentencing, or transfer authority. Match each charge because one booking can involve more than one case.
- Search the VADOC locator for a state institution, CCAP, local-jail-under-VADOC-authority, or district supervision result.
- Ask RRJ for the maintained release sheet or booking history showing the actual release date and time, legal authority, event type, and destination.
Use a separate line in the research log for each day and source. That preserves when an active listing ended, when VINE reported an event, and when the court posted its action. Those times can differ without any record being false because each agency documents a different step.
The King George County 24-Hour Releases route is better when the only question is today's processing. The three-day route is best when the event may cross a weekend, holiday, or delayed discovery.
King George Three-Day Record Fields
There is no public 72-hour output whose columns can be described. Current JailTracker fields may include name, identifiers, intake or status details, gender, and a photo when present. They concern an active record. For a former RRJ detainee, request the existing booking, commitment, and release entries that can answer the three-day question.

Ask RRJ for existing records, not a newly compiled 72-hour roster. Virginia FOIA provides access to maintained records subject to applicable rules and exemptions, but it does not require an agency to create a report it does not keep. A clear person, booking range, and field list makes the request more precise.
Note: Include all three calendar dates in the request, plus the approximate booking date, so RRJ can locate the correct maintained custody record.
King George Weekend Release Verification
A 72-hour window is most useful as a research frame around weekends and holidays. RRJ says bonding is available seven days a week, so a bond release is not limited to ordinary office days. Yet bonding depends on legal papers, required parties, and checks for warrants or detainers. There is no single weekend posting schedule to rely on.
Time-served releases follow a narrower RRJ statement: qualifying inmates leave at 8:00 a.m. on the sentence-completion date. That published time does not apply to bond, court-order, transfer, VADOC, federal, immigration, or medical events. Over a three-day span, preserve the release class before comparing the expected time with the final record.
Courts and records offices can have different business hours even while jail operations continue. A weekend custody change may therefore be visible to VINE before a clerk's docket or records response is available. The lag is a reason to keep checking authoritative channels, not to backfill a release list from old roster snapshots.

The public behavior points the other way: showCurrentOffendersOnly:true is active, and the interface hides released status, release-date filters, and release-date columns. The 400-day setting is a backend software or agency value. It is not a public 72-hour archive, a public 400-day archive, or an official records-retention promise.

King George Releases Versus Custody
Three days of source checks may reveal several different statuses. An active RRJ result means the public roster still associates the person with current regional-jail custody. A VADOC institution result may mean RRJ transferred the person into state custody. A VADOC district-office result can mean physical confinement ended while probation, parole, or post-release supervision continues. A court disposition explains the legal case but does not give the final door-out time.
VINE supplies custody events from the reporting jail. A release alert confirms that RRJ reported that event, but it should be read with the event type and confirmed with RRJ when destination matters. Transfer, escape, and death are not community release. No VINE match is also inconclusive because spelling, timing, coverage, or a system handoff can affect the result.

Confirm King George Three-Day Releases
For the actual RRJ event, contact the jail that maintains the custody record. RRJ's main number is 540-288-5245 and Intake is extension 201. Its published policy does not provide release dates by phone, so a call is best treated as a current-custody route. A focused written request can seek the release log or sheet, booking history, authority, actual date and time, and destination.
RRJ Authority FOIA Officer Santina Thelen is listed at 540-288-5268 and sthelen@rrj.state.va.us. State the three-day date range, full recorded name, a second identifier, and booking or court information if known. Ask for electronic copies and an estimate. RRJ does not publish a flat release-record fee in the reviewed sources.
Use King George General District Court for misdemeanors, traffic cases, and felony preliminary proceedings. Use Circuit Court for felony adjudication, appeals, sentencing, and probation-violation orders. For a state-responsible sentence, VADOC becomes the proper custody source. Federal prison and ICE custody require their own locators, while USMS movement is followed through the court and actual holding facility.
No official RRJ or King George recent-release app was found. GTL VisMobile concerns visitation. VINELink is the right mobile notification tool for local custody, but it is not a Sheriff release feed and should not be labeled as one publicly.
